We joined the Wayzata Yacht Club about 5 years ago. We would invite you out to our yacht, if we owned one. We first went to the Wayzata Yacht Club for multiple reasons. Mostly for something to do. And we are at the WYC or it’s events most months. Does it seem strange that a non-boat owner would be part of a yacht club? Not really. Most of these boats need to have about four people sail them safety. I guess you could tide the rudder and drop the sail yourself, but if YOU drop off the boat, you can start looking for your at the far shore, IF you are lucky. We are what they call CREW. The extra people needed to sail a boat.

The Wayzata Yacht Club is one of the nicest pieces of property in Wayzata. And it’s right on Lake Minnetonka, which makes it nice for the boats. The property stays nice because the members take care of it.

Every year in April we have a cleanup day. That was this last Saturday. We make sure the beer & pop taps are clean. We sweep, dust and clean up the leaves and mess winter brought us. Every year E & I help out with Spring cleaning.

This Thursday after we got the club cleaned up is our spring social where are can meet the new people and old friends. We’ll be there.
