Every year we build and put up wood duck houses to support the birds. Every year at this time of year we clean them. This year we found three unhatched eggs. So the wood ducks are definitely using the nests. Typically a hen wood duck will lay ten eggs and some won't hatch. So we may have eight new wood ducks from one nest and nine from the other.
