Most communities in the metro have their own city fair event. For Shoreview that is called a Slice of Shoreview. It is located in Island Lake Park 3611 Victoria St N by 694 and Victoria in the north Metro the last weekend in July. This year it was July 26th – 28th.
The Slice of Shoreview is a free festival, with a bunch of local sponsors. It’s hours is Fri 4-10, Sat 10-10, Sunday 10-4. It is basically a small town fair minus the animals & crop competition but they do have a petting zoo.
We go because it is near by, it’s free including the parking and they usually have a good number of art vendors since we collected outside metal movement art. They also have a good number of food vendors and if you are bringing kids they have kids rides. If you are into bingo you will be right at home there.
It basically a local see your neighbors events with many small businesses and volunteer groups supporting it. It can be a fun/safe day for you, your kids/grandkids.
And at the end of July with the heat there is not much to do in the metro. We spend an hour or two there every year. It’s fun.
