One of the things about the metro we have our share of Ethnic festivals. E & I have been going to many of them ten to twenty years.
 
Irish Fest in August on Harriet Island in St Paul  is one of the largest. But the French give us Bastille day celebration. Also on Harriet Island is an Italian Festival. St Marys on Lake Calhoun… yea I said it… is the great Greek Festival.
 
But this was the first year we noticed the Slavic festival. They are starting small on Boom Island over looking Mpls. We saw the entire thing in 30 minutes but please take the time to support it so it too can become one of our major ethnic festivals.
