An Hour at the Santa Monica Pier
After arriving at LAX and getting a car we drove about five miles to I-90 to Santa Monica Pier. We parked by the pier for $20. Had two burgers & fries at a restaurant on the pier for $30 it only took 5 minutes. Then we walked the pier.
They have a picture place where Route 66 ends. There’s a great view up the coast and Malibu from The Santa Monica Pier, it’s a great stop.
From the Santa Monica Pier we got on a four lane highway CA 1 went up to Coast to Freeway 101 to Santa Barbara. 101 had an exit to the SB Marriot. A couple hours later after seeing some great California Coastal views we were in our hotel.
