Phelps winery 

If someone tells you, you can not go to Willamette and Columbia Valley they are thinking far too small. They are an hour and a half a part.

We are in the Columbia Gorge which is just just west of Columbia Valley AVA. One thing that makes both interesting is both AVAs cover two states both OR & WA. 

Phelps Winery was the first winery we came upon along the freeway from Dundee. Phelps winery have had their tasting room by the river less than a year.

Lucinda our tasting person told us Phelps grows Reisling, Pinot Griis, Noir, Chardonnay since the 70s. They also grow some Gewürztraminer. And with us being German white fans were pleasantly surprised to find both.

The tasting room was purchased from another winery and came complete with grapes. The have a great patio, an indoor tasting roof overlooking the patio of all glass. They have a board room for private parties and a loft for parties.

After the Gewürztraminer we tried their Pinot Grii… Not a fan, but their's wasn't bad.  

Next came a Chardonnay that they limit the
