We enjoy interesting art. What can be more interesting than a old tree cut down then carved by an artist into: Not a bear, Not an Indian but that friend of ours for twelve years of school a number 2 pencil. That is exactly what was done at 2217 E Lake of the Isles Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN One the north End of the Lake of the isle.
They have an annual pencil sharpening event in which literally hundreds of people attend. We had the Grand Kids with us at the Edina Art Show and decided to stop bye a day early. And there they were: The artist, the owner and the press person, sitting next to the Loti Pencil preparing for the hundreds of people that would be there the next day for the annual pencil sharpening party.
I think next year we may attend the gala!
