Local Rumors is a nice neighborhood restaurant. If you are on a schedule and need a reservation, Local Rumors is perhaps a poor choice. We were not in a hurry and sat and waited while looking at the menu while we drank wine for maybe 15 minutes. The Matride'/owner made sure he gave us great attention and it was a good experience. The menu is fairly simple and the wine was good. E had a burger and I had a flank steak.
It is not the type of destination restaurant one might cross town for but for what it is a neighborhood venue it's a nice find. The wine was OK but not exceptional. I had hoped to report on the mixed mashed vegetables, but sadly they were out by 7:30 on a Friday night.
Our bill was $85 about what would expect to go out on a Friday night.
Will we be back, there is nothing that we find exceptional so not really.
