Did you ever go to a place and say it appears to be nothing special but I like it already. That is the feeling we got at Guacaya Bistreaux .

The place was clean, easy to get to, parking next door. People were nice and the Spanish music kinda took you away from MN in the late October chills. I do need to say the parking machine does not take coins only credit cards. We prefer dollar  coins instead of worry about credit card fraud all too common these days.

For wine E had her Cab Sav, I had an Argentina Malbec, mine was better, both were good and good pours.

We then had a great bread basket with toasted bread, butter and a bit salty, it was VERY good.

Next we had the Ahi Tuna Tartatre with ahi tuna, cucumbers, ahi Amarillo, ricotta sauce, red onions, aji panca shoyu & plantain chips. It was excellent I was colorful and very good. I had no idea what half the stuff was. I thought I was eating banana slices & tomato’s… but then I can be clueless on occasion. But it was very good.

For an entree we had Creole Grilled Salmon. Creole spice rubbed salmon, panzanella roasted vegetables, roasted belipepper aioli, aji tropical salsa. It was amazing!

Our bill was $96 including a $7 service charge, about what we would expect from a place of this quality.

We'll be back!
