If you asked in the Twin Cities where is the best Garden Center few would not mention Gertens. It is a destination for Lawn & Garden people. If you have a garden or lawn and have never been to Gertens you need to make the trip. Hell its fun is you don’t have a lawn or garden. They are in the South Metro a few miles from the airport just off of Highway 52.

We go several times a year. Plan at least an hour to see things. If there is an unusual house or yard plant plant, bush or tree they will have it and have an expert to educate you on it. If you are looking for a garden tool, bird house or seed, grass or fertilizer, Gertens will have it. It may may not be the cheapest but they WILL have it. I just like walking around and learning.

Menards has 3-4 types of grass seed Gerdens twenty. Looking for a hoe Gertens has ten different types, it’s just to look. We are looking for new bushes for the front of the house, we are only looking to Gertens.

If you have a rainy day with no place to go, go to Gertens. When gardening season is here go again. But put on your good shoes its could be a long day with a lot of people there.
