Are you into bird hunting or sporting dog stuff? Then you need to visit Game Fair in Anoka the first couple of weekends in August every year. If it bird or waterfowl related it will be there.
Thirty years ago we had a booth there when we introduced our magazine Bird Dog & Retriever News at a booth there. That was when Ron Schrara the outdoor guy came up to the booth and told us we would not last six months. That was thirty years ago Ron. I had hoped to hear more encouragement from someone like that, but people can be interesting.
Game Fair on Armstrong Ranch has about 300 booths with everything from cooking to dog collars to waterfowl calls to dog training. You can bring your dogs and kids along. We go most years, kind of a right of fall.
