If you have never been to a meat raffle or gone to a Lions, Legion or Eagles event, you can no longer call yourself a Minnesotan... Wisconsin and the Dakotas will throw you back too. We heard about the Friday Night Lions Wine Tasting and did not even ask the price we said we are in. Drive around the cities and look at playgrounds and little league teams and fields, in hospitals, if you aren't giving to these great organizations you should be.
The tasting was nothing to write home about but they had some good local distributors that brought OK wine and knew what they were doing. There was also very good food. I have no idea what we paid $25 or $30 a ticket but we sure got out moneys worth. Even bought a $200 pair of sport shoes for $100 at an auction. We will be creating a calendar events for events of this type in the near future. So support the organizations that support our Minnesota life.
