I was asked the other day if we could review the Emerald Lounge, so we are here tonight.
Tonight we are at Emerald Lounge on 7th in St. Paul. The place is not very big but they have nice seating on the sidewalk and it’s a great fall night so we are fine.
The servers were nice and got to us quickly. No reservations required. We started with a bread plate which was a bit cold & dry. They had a nice wine list with six reds. They could use a Cab the favorite Midwest wine crowd. But E had a Noir and I had a Tempranillo both were $12 and were very good full bodied along with the pours.
We ordered Harissa Carrots | Vegan & Gluten Free: Smokey, Sweet Honey Harissa Glaze, Herbed Feta Yogurt. It was very tasty… best carrots I ever had.
For entree’ we ordered: Tuscan Chicken and Risotto | Gluten Free: Marinated Airline breast, sun dried tomato basil Risotto & Roasted Zucchini. It tasted incredible.
For tasty food and price Emerald Lounge is top tier. If you are Gluten Free or a Vegetarian it is a must try. For us we are glad we came but probably won’t return.
Being on 7th a mile from downtown St Paul the traffic took a way any romantic ambiance, but it’s where they are.
The food was very good, our compliments to the chef. And the bill was a reasonable $77.
