Edina has TWO of the largest and best art fairs in the Twin Cities. To begin the year the first weekend in June at 50th & France is the one E&I have gone through the longest. This year is their 59th year. How do you find it? Go to 50th & France downtown Edina and spin. It is a block in each direction.
And go down hungry and with a full wallet, there is plenty to eat and buy. The Lunds Byerly Parking lot is always full of food trucks. I am not a big food truck fan. I don’t do lines, or like waiting long after I order & pay, common on food trucks. I was hungry for American Fair Food: burgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, fries…
The first truck we passed was selling sugar ice cream cone filled with Macaroni & Cheese… Pass. Second truck had Polish food I’ll pass. Then I saw it: ParlourBar.com they had burgers and fries. And NOT the thin McDonalds burgers and slimy fries. These were thick Juicy burgers for $12 and great French Fries for $5. We ordered TWO of each. And get THIS we got change and our burgers in the same minute we ordered! God were they good. If you see the Parlour Bar truck you have to try them.
A thank you to the organizers and music acts the Edina Art Fair have music acts all three days. The art at the show was good but nothing new. I will give Edina credit for the smoothest crowd flow of any shows. Both of the Edina Shows the June and Show in Sept at Centennial Lakes.
We had fun we’ll be back next year.
