Pizzas, Burgers and Wings, 118 Whiskeys, 40 Tap Beers and happy hour twice a day. International comfort food that draws influence from Eastern and Western Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, and South America
Tonight we went to Dark Horse Eatery in St Paul where 35E goes into St Paul just off 7th St.
Dark Horse is a bar eatery similar to a sports bar. They have a great outside deck next to seventh so if are looking for a quiet date, best you keep looking. One interesting perspective is the only way into the deck area is through the bar. Tonight there are THREE PROTESTS in town with interstates closed, you are SAFE Here.
The menu is Burgers, pizza and Tacos. We are having the Eden Pizza with Gouda Cheese, Apple slices, Arubula lettuce and balsamic vinegar was unusual but great. E says I eat everything on the pizza, so let's try it. Like usual we are trying things. E ordered a bacon Dark Horse burger, which we'll split.
We had to wear masks until we were seated on the patio but no customers wore them once seated, the entire staff did.
They had a QRS code on a table tent so you could read today's menu online which was cool. The wine list is about a dozen and our waiter did not know it. But they just reopened and we understand.
If we lived in Lowertown we'd be regulars it's a great neighborhood bar/restaurant, not worth traveling for.
