We discovered Chimborazo about five years ago. We had driven past it for years. It is across from the Columbia Golf course on 65 Central. To drive past it you will not notice as a restaurant. The term Chimborazo means a volcano mountain in Ecuadore. In fact it is the tallest climbable volacno in the world. We were told about Chimborazo by one of our wine people.

It's a great restaurant with Ecuadorian food. Think of food from the sea coasta and you'll be right on. But they have a few things from South America we don't normally see up here.

We ordered a glass of Cab Sav for $13 and a glass of Carmenere for $10. The wine was OK bt not worth writing home about. Then we had a nice salad with the Ecuadorian Salad for $11, then an Empanada De Carne for $6 finally a Churrasco Strip steak. Everything was good. The wait staff are always gracious. It's a nice change of pace if you go to the samplace all the time.

They have good safe free parking. And to eat for $68 for two of us including wine it's a great Friday night.

The only downside is it's walk in only and last time when we got out after our usual Friday 7:30 there was a line, but for unusual food of this quality was worth it.
