Chase Restaurant
How do you tell a great restaurant, on the road, from another? Sometimes you can’t. So, we try to go to a place with the larger well adorn restaurants in nice locations. That is kind of how we decided on Chase on walked State Street in Santa Barbara. We saw a nice Italian restaurant streetside filled with diners. So, E took a chance and asked for 6PM reservations.
We arrived at 6PM on a Saturday night and was nice seated at the middle of the place. The Décor was old world Hollywood Italian. With pictures of Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn the wall was filled with Hollywood icon. It sure put us in the Italian food mood.
So, we looked at the wine list E had a Pinot for $16 a glass and since I always like to drink the wine unique to the food, went with a Barbera for $16 a glass. We followed that with some tasty Garlic bread for $12. Then we split a Farm Fresh Salad for $10. Then we ordered the most generic pasta on the menu Fettuccine Alfredo for $23. Chase had very good Alfredo sauce.
The entertaining meal was $84 comparable to what we would have paid in the Twin Cities. If you are in Santa Barbara, give Chase a chance, we liked it.
