Day Four Desire

We woke up at 7 AM with no alarm. By 7:30 we were eating at Arrecife the breakfast buffet. I learned from yesterday to time my breakfast. I ordered my Ham & Cheese Omelet first then shopped the hundred other things for my breakfast.

I checked on my Omelet to see if she made easy over eggs. She said Two. I said yes but tomorrow. I found the toaster with six different types of bread. E then showed me the hot salmon they had, which was great.

I then checked on my omelet to find two easy over eggs right next to them. I guess I was going to have two types of eggs today. So I got some toast some fruit and had breakfast.

There are two places to eat breakfast. The Arrecife Buffet equal to any breakfast buffet we have had at any restaurant or cruise ship. Or Eros restaurant which is Al La Cart from a menu which we are going try tomorrow. The beauty of two restaurants is everyone come to either place in the morning. It’s a central meeting place to make and meet your new friends. Desire is about making friends. And friends get together frequently at the place they both enjoy. It’s smart marketing.

After breakfast the cleaning lady was in our area and we asked if she wanted to clean our room. She said yes so we got on our beach shoes and went on our morning beach walk past three hotels. To the OTHER side of the photography sign. We saw a similar beach. With people already  out taking in the sun. The Desire crowd, many of which we saw at the Disco at 11 PM last night were just getting out of bed until nine or ten.

On the way back from our beach walk we stopped for a margarita. As we say in Wisconsin you can’t drink all day if you don’t start early. There is VERY little alcohol in the drinks here, but hangovers are best remembered not experienced. About thirty minutes later still nursing our first drinks of the day, we returned to our room.

We got ready for the day and went down to the new pool. We again sat next to the bar and of course ordered two margaritas. The show performers were starting a morning group workout. A dozen 30ish people were working out as a group to the tunes at the pool. Everyone else watched and got refills on our drinks. After an hour of working out we went to the to the Eros restaurant and made reservations for tonight and had a pizza. The pizza was good.

We have been to Cozumel about for times. And since we are down here we thought to fill a day with something different we would do a day trip to Cozumel. I did a search on Day trips from Playa Del Carma to Cozumel. There was three types of boat excursions each leaving every hour or two. The problem was bad programming a language issue and screwup on our part meant getting stranded.

So we went up to the lobby and one of the customer service reps from Desiree helped us book the Ferry to Cozumel. We had tickets to leave at 10AM return at 3PM for about $80 for two of us to get two way tickets to Cozumel. Add $100 for a round trip taxi at 8:30 AM and tomorrow we spend a day on Cozumel.

Every night we eat at a different place mostly do to different restaurants are open. Tonight we went to Eros restaurant it was closed. We went to Tentazione and they were hosting an elegant dinner for Preferred  members. Aparrently we lost our invite. We ended up eating at Arrecife the same buffet we ate breakfast at.

Tonight the buffet was filled with dozen of foods. They had a fresh salad area, a stir Fry area and a variety of prepare dishes and deserts.

We had egg rolls, fried rice, shrimp on a stick, steak bits, salmon, stir Fry and disserts. Arrecife was the central restaurant for eating. It was another good meal.

As we walked back to our room E said she was cold. SO we walked to the front desk and asked for a blanket. Then we walked back to our room to find a blanket laying on the bed. Now THAT is service.

Tonight there is a musical couple for a 9 PM show. We will be in bed watching the State of the union.

Got to get up and eat in the lobby for our trip to Cozumel.
