Day One Desire Sat

We arrived at Desire about 2 PM. About fifteen  minutes to check in and get our bags to our Garden View Suite. Desire is a beautiful resort. This is a couples only resort. The resort is very private and pictures are not allowed to be taken anywhere in the resort. If caught taken pictures you are escorted out of the hotel and never allowed to return. They are forgiving if people are not in the pictures (waves & rooms). Just like Vegas, what happens in Vegas, STAYs in Vegas.

We like kids on vacation, just not YOUR kids. At Desire it’s a place for Couples to re-discover life and relationships. If we have been to a better resort over the years we don’t remember.

Our room was on first floor. One hundred feet over through a building is the beach. We can hear the tide from our room. Our building is 8 rooms on two sides with two levels. There are 130 rooms at Desire and Desire continue to expand.

The room is nice with a king size bed. With a fridge with water and beer all included. They have nice little things a sewing kit and a vanity set with Qtips, a vanity set fingernail file & cotton balls and a make-up mirror.  Other than that the room is not much different than most hotel rooms.

When we initially turned on the TV is was setup to echo your cell phone. One call to the desk straightened it out that. Well, kinda. After reset we turned on the TV they have ABC, CBS, NBC no financial channels. So we watched Rick & Chumley from Pawn Stars Buying a Vesva in Rome… But we are not whining.

We then put on beach gear and ate at Ethos one of the eight restaurants which overlooked one of the two pools at the resort. Then we sat poolside and had margaritas to the pool. The average age here is probably 45 and only couples allowed.

Later in the evening we ate at Tentazione Mediterranean buffet. It was good but not great.

We made an early travel day evening of it. At ten PM after I was done writing my dailies (What you are reading) I left E sleep while I did a walk through to the disco which doesn’t even open until ten. It was packed with people and great tunes. I only stayed for five minutes since at that point I was at the end of a 20-hour day. So I returned to bed with knowledge on what to expect when we went to the disco later in the week.
