Shish is home to a wide array of authentic, home-cooked Mediterranean cuisine.
We saw St Sahag Armenian Church posted Shish Kabob Dinners for $12 4-6:30, so we're in. We showed up at 5 and they were sold out. So after asking for suggestions we went a mile away to a Mediterranean restaurant called Shish on Grand Ave for similar food, which we did. We had plans on eating at Hidden Falls Region Park on the St Paul side of the Mississippi near the airport about a mile down river from where our wedding riverboat went. Food, park & Company were top notch. Livin Da Dream!
Shish was an interesting restaurant. Most of the crowd was walking/take out as were we. It was similar to McDonalds with three big screens and all the combination of Shish Kabobs. We went with traditional and were out the door in under ten minutes. We would have been out even faster if someone would have told us where they pit the take out orders in a storage place similar to what you might put books or clothes in at college. But once we figured that out we took our Shish Kabobs and salad to Hidden Falls park a few miles away. We ordered a Gyro Bowel for $15, a Tenderloin Shish Kabob for $19 and Carrot cake for $10, Total $45. The food was great and Shish works out well for exactly what we did. The food was still warm ten minutes later when we got around to eating it.
We ate at Hidden Falls Park on the St Paul Side of the Mississippi by Fort Snelling & Hiawatha Falls.
