Alamo Drafthouse Movie Theater
Going to the movie/cinema in the last twenty years has changed more then it had in the past eighty. This was our first time to Alamo Drafthouse. E wanted to see Top Gun and would not give up her wine or put up with Cell phones. Alamo Drafthouse is a perfect fit. It has a Movie Theater with good wine and a basic American restaurant menu.
The movie, food, drink, and experience were all great. The bill was $120 which at first appeared high but after the breakdown it really wasn't. If you take the 20% automatic tip, away you have $100. Now take away two movie tickets from the $100 - $30 leaves $70 for wine and a burger meal. Which is about normal at what a movie & meal cost.
The chairs were very comfortable and clean. And they were push button controlled. There was no texting or Cell phone issues during the movie and was a very pleasant experienced. The screen, viewing and audio were all great. The wait staff did not interrupt the movie. We normally prefer to wait six months and watch a movie outside on our deck or next to a roaring fire. But if there is another movie like Top Gun we will go there.
